MEET OUR KEY PLAYERS

Cinnamon Communications comprises a team of highly skilled and experienced media professionals who have all worked in PR and marketing at senior levels.

Whether you are launching a new product or service, concerned about your reputation, developing new markets or simply considering the use of PR, we can help.

Maud RousseauMaud Rousseau

Cinnamon’s difference comes in the unique blend of the creative passion and business savvy of its founder, Maud Rousseau. Now Managing director, Maud Rousseau has over fourteen years experience in marketing communications, working in-house and agency-side, with some of the world’s largest brands, forging strong relationships worldwide and developing an extensive portfolio of contacts in all areas of the media.

After graduating with a Masters in Strategic Marketing & Communications, Maud fulfilled senior corporate communications positions at rightmove.co.uk, Chime plc, FutureBrand and Dragon Rouge International. In that time, Maud has aligned communications to corporate strategy for some of the world’s leading brands across a wide range of industries and in so doing, developed a worldwide portfolio of contacts across the full spectrum of media channels.

Maud’s Big Idea: “At Cinnamon Communications we influence the people that influence your business – be they consumers, trade customers, employees or industry pundits. The most cost-effective route is often through the editorial pages so you should never underestimate their power.”

Vicki FletcherVicki Fletcher

Vicki Fletcher has ten years’ corporate, B2B and consumer PR agency experience. Working for both the private and public sector, she has been responsible for the strategy and implementation of key accounts spanning across the property, financial services, environmental, education, marketing and travel sectors, as well as supporting economic and regional development programmes.

From high profile media relations and events management to political lobbying and crisis management, Vicki is highly experienced in utilising all PR tactics to deliver the most effective and influential communications campaign.

Vicki’s Big Idea: “Many companies have a wealth of fascinating research and data to hand which is often overlooked or used poorly. The effective use of quality research can provide the basis of a highly influential PR campaign by setting the news agenda, help make companies stand out and position them as leading commentators in their field of expertise.”

Lisa IsaacsLisa Isaacs

As well as conducting seminars about the value of good public relations, Lisa’s thirteen years of experience within the media have led to her being requested as a judge for both the Estate Agency of the Year Awards and the What House? Awards.

After editing and contributing to trade journals, in-flight magazines and consumer titles in areas such as property, finance, weddings and babies & parenting, Lisa successfully made the transition from journalism to PR, running the Berkeley Homes’ account, as an associate director before coming to us.

Lisa’s Big Idea: “I am a news junkie….24-hour satellite channels, websites and even Ceefax! I’m always ripping out articles from newspapers too. Some of our most successful coverage has come fromnding to breaking news stories. I feel it’s important to link your business to current affairs to maximise exposure and become newsworthy. I’m always looking at the bigger news picture with our clients in mind.”

Karen KeemanKaren Keeman

Karen Keeman is an experienced editor and journalist having worked for national newspapers including The Mail on Sunday and The Independent as well as editing consumer publications such as Your New Home and Hot Property. Karen has spearheaded the launch of two property award shows and was shortlisted in the Consumer Magazine Editor of the Year category at the headlineproperty Awards 2008. Website projects include primelocation.com and copywriting for major UK housebuilders. Before joining Cinnamon, Karen worked with a range of clients from property to healthcare as well as continuing to manage the PR for one of the successful entrepreneurs from BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Karen’s Big Idea: “I know journalism and journalists. Editorial coverage is vital to your business and having read literally thousands of press releases, I understand what works and what will simply be deleted. Creative thinking will help you reach your target audience in the most effective ways possible.”

You might not know this, but…

…the Cinnamon team also has many skills outside of public relations and marketing. Between them there are two qualified dance teachers, a skilled cake baker, a gardener (who is particularly proud of her herb garden and fruiting tomato and strawberry plants), fluent French and Spanish speakers, a wine expert (she does come from Burgundy!), a keen tennis player and a yoga enthusiast.
