Successs stories
Cinnamon has a track record of success working for some of the world’s leading brands across a wide range of industries. Here are just some of the successes we’ve had for our clients:
Cinnamon was appointed by www.fabricproperty.com, a London luxury lifestyle and property portal owned and populated by almost 30 leading estate agents and managed by publishing company Forward Limited.
The brief was to establish Fabricproperty.com as an authority on luxury homes and become a ‘voice’ for the London property market north of the River Thames. With the emphasis on driving traffic to the Fabricproperty.com portal, Cinnamon targeted a range of off and on-line media including trade, consumer and local north London newspapers.
By strategically targeting individual publications, Cinnamon were able to react quickly to individual journalist’s enquiries, resulting in a wide range of coverage, often exclusively for Fabricproperty.com.
Outside of the traditional media activity, Cinnamon also formed partnerships with other businesses with a similar target audience to increase awareness about Fabricproperty.com. This included content sharing and supplying exclusive editorial features to property news portals, high-end furniture removal companies and on-going talks with prolific interior designers.
Alex Gamble, Account Director of Forward Limited says: “Cinnamon has helped us to generate the right sort of targeted publicity to best promote Fabricproperty.com. As a new portal, it was critical to appoint a PR agency that could deliver creative and strategic campaigns to quickly and successfully raise our profile with the press and therefore increase visitor levels.
Cinnamon has a very adaptable and flexible approach; often dealing with last minute requests for information and updates as well as working out of office hours to make sure deadlines for overseas publications are met. They offer a professional, reliable service and are clearly very enthusiastic about the job they do.”
Cinnamon was asked by Metropolitan Home Ownership to launch its first ever private new build development to the London market. Cinnamon identified the key audience to be young Londoners commuting to the capital’s centre and therefore secured an exclusive story in the London Evening Standard. A traditional press-release based PR campaign followed the exclusive, with resulting coverage in key places such as the South London Press and www.whathouse.co.uk. Cinnamon is now working on the second PR phase for the development, which will involve social media and community communications.
Cinnamon was asked by the Reputation Institute – private advisory and research firm specialising in corporate reputation management– to report on its UK Pulse Study 2010. The project involved detailed figure analysis to determine the top-line news stories and then an intense and strictly-embargoed PR campaign with the UK’s top national newspapers, magazines and websites – with emphasis on consumer and finance journalists. Cinnamon achieved a raft of national and sector-specific coverage in titles such as The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, City AM, Marketing Magazine, Brand Republic, The Grocer, Professional Beauty and Construction Manager. We also organised a launch event for clients, prospects and journalists at the IOD, as well as creating podcast for the Reputation Institute’s website.
Cinnamon has forged a strong partnership with TOTALITY following two successful PR projects for the Integrated marketing & design agency. The first project saw Cinnamon mastermind the trade launch of TOTALITY’S Touchspace product – an online sales and marketing system designed specifically for the real-estate sector. Cinnamon then raised TOTALITY’S profile within the marketing and branding industry by publicising its appointment as brand specialist for The Pinnacle – the City of London’s tallest building. Both projects yielded a significant amount of on and offline press coverage in leading trade publications.
Cinnamon developed an online and offline marketing strategy as well as a ‘step-by-step’ guide to how to develop their business into a sellable franchise business. Cinnamon also created a booklet for the franchisees, helping them set-up successfully with a consistent message and a marketing strategy aligned with the London Handy Team’s group objectives. We write the copy for monthly e-newsletters and create and design marketing collaterals to help them retain and gain clients. Cinnamon also implemented a PR campaign which enabled them to reach a wide range of media from specialist home and property titles through to lifestyle publications.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools have almost 40 franchise operations throughout the UK. They have deals with Thomson and First Choice Holidays to offer Razzamataz Stage Academies, as well as recently launching in Bannatyne’s Health Clubs. Cinnamon felt that to achieve extensive editorial coverage, promoting the Razzamataz brand was the route to success. Working with a franchise business meant that press releases would need to be inclusive for a geographically diverse business that reaches from Scotland to Devon. Creating headline grabbing strong news stories but with a local angle has resulted in widespread coverage including national newspapers, regional newspapers, magazines and radio.
The theatre school gained national prominence when the founder and director, Denise Hutton-Gosney, appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and Duncan Bannatyne invested in the business.
Denise Hutton-Gosney, Founder and Director or Razzamataz says: “Working with Karen (Keeman) has made a huge difference to the amount of press coverage we receive. Initially we were writing press releases in-house but it was very time consuming and not very effective because we are not media professionals.
Karen has helped us get our message across to a wide range of media and we are continually developing excellent relationships with a number of influential journalists.
As a franchise business, having the services of a professional PR has really set us apart from our competitors. In fact, many of our franchisees have already said what a difference it has made to the running of their own Razzamataz School.”
